A "TOAST AND ROAST" + PLUS 81st SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY was held at noon on SEPTEMBER 30th @ Texas Land and Cattle Steak House 3130 Lemmon Ave (@ Cole Ave.) The 1956 Bulldogs of North Dallas High School celebrated their 50th reunion this September 29th and 30th 2006 in Dallas. One of the highlights for all Bulldogs was the 1956 NDHS basketball team winning City and District titles and going to Austin to compete for the State Championship. The Class of 1956 plans to recognize those fun times of 50 short years ago during its Reunion in September with two events The gathering was for a special "Toast and Roast" lunch to honor Coach John Rowland days before his 81st birthday and to greet fellow teammates. A major effort was conducted by Patti Langford, Brenda Hoffman and Allen Harris to invite all the Bulldog Roundballers who played for Coach Rowland during the 1950’s at North Dallas. Among the missing were Jack Selby and Jerece J.D. Segroves. |
